These Terms of Service govern your use of beard.Energy, BeardPowered software, and related services operated by Beard Energy LLC ("we," "us," "our"). By accessing or using our services, you agree to these terms.
BeardPowered is a sovereign software platform for electrical contractors. When you license BeardPowered, you receive a deployment of the software on infrastructure you control. We do not host your data, manage your server, or retain access to your deployment after initial setup.
BeardPowered is licensed, not sold. Your license grants you the right to deploy and operate the software on your own infrastructure indefinitely. You may not resell, sublicense, or redistribute the software without written agreement from Beard Energy LLC.
BeardPowered is priced per deployment, not per user or per month. Pricing is determined by your shop size and configuration. Contact us for a quote. Payment is due prior to deployment.
Beard Energy LLC provides BeardPowered software "as is." We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the software, including lost data, lost revenue, or business interruption. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the software.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, United States. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Weber County, Utah.

Contact form submissions are used to respond to inquiries. We do not sell, share, or monetize visitor data. Server logs are retained for 30 days for security purposes.
When you deploy BeardPowered on your own infrastructure, we have no access to your data. Your SQLite databases, your customer records, your job files, your signature documents -- all of it lives on your server. We cannot see it, access it, or use it. This is the sovereignty promise, and it is architecturally enforced, not just stated in a policy.

BeardPowered is architected around the principle that your data belongs to you -- not us, not your cloud provider, not any third party. This section describes what that means in practice.
All customer data in a BeardPowered deployment lives in SQLite databases on the operator's VPS. No data is replicated to Beard Energy LLC servers, cloud storage, or any third-party analytics platform. The operator controls all data at the filesystem level.
BeardPowered uses AI inference APIs (Groq, Gemini, Anthropic) for features like voice transcription, document drafting, and AI assistance. Queries to these APIs may be processed per their respective privacy policies. BeardTrain -- the BeardPowered training pipeline -- collects training data locally on the operator's server and exports it only when the operator explicitly initiates an export. No training data leaves the server automatically.
BeardPowered does not auto-update. The operator controls when and whether to apply updates. Your deployment is stable until you choose to change it.
The operator has full filesystem access to their BeardPowered deployment. Every database, every log file, every configuration -- readable and auditable by the operator at any time. We do not use obfuscated code or hidden processes.
